Facility tours

Facility tours are a unique opportunity for delegates to gain first hand experience of the most innovative facilities.

Tours normally last half a day and feature presentations, followed by an exclusive tour of a facility close to a WTG Pharma event. Facility tours provide delegates with a unique opportunity to see for themselves the technologies and strategies that the world‘s leading companies are implementing.

Delegates are encouraged to ask questions, enabling them to evaluate technologies in situ, in order to gain an invaluable understanding of how the technologies work, how they can be implemented and the challenges and benefits associated with their use.

Attendees benchmark with their peers and take home a better understanding of the improvements they can make within their own operations.

World Drug Manufacturing facility tour: Bayer Technology Services site in Leverkusen, Germany.

Delegates at the World Drug Manufacturing Summit 2008 were given the opportunity to visit the Bayer Technology Services site in Leverkusen, Germany.

This exclusive half day tour was included in the delegate package and introduced them to Bayer Technology Services, before embarking on a facility tour throughout which delegates were encouraged to ask questions. It provided a unique opportunity to discover first hand how a leading drug manufacturing company continually adopts new techniques and strategies to achieve operational excellence.

Biological Production Forum facility tour: GE Healthcare

The Bio Innovation Day was held at GE Global Research Europe Center and included a tour of their facility.
Delegates were given the opportunity to take a private tour around the GE Global Research facility, learning how some of the world’s leading companies had adopted cutting edge best practices and new technologies to increase efficiency. The day comprised of sessions introducing the latest technologies, followed by a tour to experience the technologies in action.
